Larry Fine was born Louis Feinberg in 1902 around South Street Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Early on in life, Larry took an interest in boxing but his conservative Jewish father soon put a stop to that. In 1925 he met Moe Howard, who was working with his brother Shemp at the time in an old Vaudeville show with the great Ted Healy. Throughout the following years, Larry produced a large volume of shorts and full length movies with the Three Stooges, including many live stage shows. Larry was known as a social butterfly and threw many lavish parties for family and friends. In addition, he also has a serious gambling addiction and unfortunately lost the bulk of his earnings. Larry suffered a debilitating stroke and his career as a Stooge was ended. He passed away on January 24th, 1975. His legend lives on! STGBIGLARRY-W
